What we collect
Three things, and nothing else.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and which links are clicked. It records things like the page visited, approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, and how you arrived. We use it in aggregate to decide what to write next. We do not attempt to identify individual readers and we do not sell or share the data.
- What you send us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, your email address, any phone number you choose to include, and your message. We use it to reply to you, and we keep it only as long as that correspondence is useful.
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records requests for pages and files in the ordinary way, for security and reliability.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, logins or passwords — there is nothing to sign in to.
- No payment details. We never take a payment; purchases happen on the retailer’s own site.
- No newsletter list, because we do not run one.
- No advertising network trackers, retargeting pixels or data brokers.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish one visit from another. You can block them in your browser settings or with an extension, and the site works normally without them — every page here is static content and nothing depends on a cookie.
The calculator stores nothing. It runs entirely in your browser, and the numbers you type into it are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Affiliate links
Buy links on this site pass through a redirect on our own domain and then on to Amazon, which uses its own cookies to attribute a purchase. That attribution is how we get paid, and once you leave this site it is governed by Amazon’s privacy policy rather than ours. Our affiliate disclosure explains the commercial side.
Third parties we rely on
- Vercel hosts the site and serves its pages.
- Google Analytics provides the traffic measurement described above.
- Microsoft delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
- Amazon handles any purchase you make after clicking a buy link, on its own site and under its own policies.
Your choices
You can block analytics cookies, browse with an ad or tracker blocker, or simply not use the contact form — none of which affects your ability to read anything here. If you have emailed us and want that message deleted, ask and we will delete it.
Children
This site is written for adults buying printers. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and there is no mechanism here that would solicit it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect, this page changes and the date at the top changes with it. We have no plans to add trackers, a newsletter, or accounts.
